Here is the story of Jared and JaNae:
Long, long ago on a far away golf course (that means 2 years and 8 months ago at Lakeside), there was the tallest, leanest, handsomest prince in all the land named Jared. He was quite the gentleman and was nice to everyone. One day, a blue-eyed, auburn haired girl named JaNae wandered onto the golf course and decided to pick up the sport. She worked hard at it and was there quite often. Jared noticed JaNae because she was there so frequently and so was he. JaNae noticed Jared because he was so tall and had great eyes. Then one day, Jared spoke to JaNae. He commented on her golf swing. JaNae began to come to the golf course more often, not to work on her swing, but to get a peek at the handsome boy. They began to have actual conversations and one day, they practiced together and then Jared got her number... finally.
They texted and talked and hung out and their relationship progressed into dating. They were together every day in the summer of 2008, hanging out and going on fun dates.
But then, Jared was called to serve in a far away land (he went on a mission to Fort Lauderdale, Florida). He would be gone for 2 years. The summer ended and Jared went off to Florida. Jared worked hard in the humid hot land he was in. He served the people there and grew to love them very much. JaNae continued on going to school and making friends. They wrote each other faithfully, every week for 2 years. At the end of the 2 years, Jared came home. It felt like he had never left.
They picked up right where they left off. Their love for each other had only grown stronger and deeper. The saying, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder," is a true one indeed. They grew stronger and stronger in their relationship. They both knew that they wanted to spend eternity with each other. That was when Jared went in search for the finest diamond in all the land. He searched far and wide. He went to every diamond jeweler in the valley. He grew to know diamonds so well that he thought about appraising them. He found the perfect ring for the perfect price, with the perfect mount, and the perfect karat, and the perfect color, and the perfect clarity, and the perfect band, and the perfect cut, and the perfect warranty. He then planned the perfect proposal....
Late one cold December night, after JaNae had gotten off work, Jared was at her house and sitting on her front porch step. JaNae was excited and surprised to see him! She jabbered on about work and how great it went. Then Jared pulled out a beautiful bouquet of roses from behind the bush.
JaNae marveled at the beautiful roses and thanked Jared for the wonderful surprise. Then Jared pointed out a note taped to the roses. It read:

Back to the front door step JaNae went! She went outside and behind the other bush she found a Symphony Bar (the one with almonds and toffee, her favorite) and another note that read...
This was starting to get fun now! JaNae was getting excited and was loving the cute notes and yummy surprises. Out to the backyard she went and found on the table chocolate chip cookie dough and another note, which read...
Cuddling has always been a favorite of Jared and JaNae. Cookie dough has been a favorite treat for JaNae as well. Inside to the couch they went next and underneath the pillow JaNae found Nestle Hot Chocolate with this note attached...
For the record, JaNae doesn't stink it up. However, Jared always slides an ensign under the door. Into the bathroom JaNae waltzed and on the counter she found a Naked fruit drink with another beautifully written note...
"The Equation" is another story for another time. That's an inside joke between Jared and JaNae. So, into her parents bedroom JaNae traveled into and found a chocolate pretzel making kit! If you haven't guessed already, JaNae loved chocolate. It's kind of a passion of hers. The note read...
Jared likes to work out and bulk up his beautifully sculpted body. He always uses the scale in the downstairs bathroom. So down the stairs JaNae flew and into the bathroom she charged and there on the scale was a large bag of oranges. The cute little note read...

It's a good thing Jared was with JaNae at this point, or else she would have been searching in the garden for about 2 hours until she found the next clue. They promenaded up the stairs and into the backyard. Jared gave her hot and cold clues as to how close she was to the next note. She wound up underneath the tree and looked up. There sitting in the branches was the very last note... :)
At this point, JaNae floated back to the back deck where Jared stood smiling. She excitedly squeaked out, "Jared, what's in your pocket?" He then proceeded to kneel down on one knee, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a box. He opened it up and ever so sweetly asked, "JaNae, will you marry me?" Trying unsuccessfully to hold back the tears of joy JaNae answered back with the firm answer, "Yes Jared, I will." They smiled and cried together as Jared slipped the beautiful ring onto her finger.
Jared and JaNae have decided to get sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on May 6th, 2011. There has never been a happier couple to walk the earth.The End (But in all reality I should say, The beginning)
